I was literally done w this way before anyone else. Done it in like 2 days. I obviously didn't aim to be innovative or smth w this, just wanted to have fun for once w editing again.

have you tried using acerolafx dof yet? Have heard it interprets color data for bokeh highlights differently than every other dof in reshade, just never got around to try but might be worth looking into it

there is a tool to export. Its not as easy as for example apex since you need to merge anims + physics w the model inside unity first, its a pain really, but do-able

for this shader you need to datamine models from the gamefiles (cant use the mmd models). Got game anims to work only on certain meshes + mixamo doesnt rig the char correctly at all so you need to manually retarget anims alot prly so idk

just a heads up, you will need goo blender for this
The effect is fully post-processing, depth projection etc.
Actually very simple :)
