I think some folks may be confused when they hear that Stillwater is without air condition, if they’re unaware.
It isn’t out. There just is not A/C in the units, period. It is being reported as a “claim”, but it is a fact.

When all drug use isn’t addiction, it reinforces to people that the main goal is recovery, often abstinence as the end goal.
Goal setting is personal and should be done without coercion.
Unfortunate effect of ‘harm reduction’ becoming a buzzword are substance use programs saying they “practice harm reduction” but what they really mean is they “don’t force you to immediately abstain but rather allow you more time to achieve the required goal of sobriety.”

Minnesota is making progress towards ending the War on Drugs. Lobbying has been dominated by the abstinence only treatment industrial complex & anti-opioid propaganda.

Sickening. I fear for my Jewish family members of color every day when there are real credible threats (white nationalists) openly walking around… But false claims like this take away from others taking legitimate antisemitic threats seriously. Vile and dangerous anti-Blackness.

So tired of talk shows that have people on to talk about the “opioid epidemic”, and it is still only about the Sacklers...
Overdoses are rising, disproportionately in communities of color, and pain patients still don’t have access to opioids for pain management.

Been talking to other POC feeling the same way… Seriously considering removing myself from the larger (predominantly white) harm reduction community. Especially on social media.
Racism and abuse will never have a place in harm reduction. Neither will staying silent about it.
