5 years ago today, I said goodbye to my 11 year old on the road he was bleeding then I sat with my husband in a freezing hospital room and watched my 8 year old die. I told him I love him and that I am proud of him then was asked to leave- we ubered home. How do live another day?

9 days till Mark’s 16th birthday! He loved playing ice-hockey.... Here is a picture of the sign he had on his door! And his beautiful smile getting ready for a game🥰🥰❤️ I am left to imagine how handsome you would be at 16th!

10 days till Mark turns 16! Here is a photo from the last time he went with his friends for ice cream. I am sure you can spot Mark! Connor, Brady and Asher lived something no sixth grader should live, their friend was taken away without getting the chance to say goodbye.

11 days till Mark’s birthday and then another 11 days till the anniversary of his death… today I remember Mark’s favorite number, 11 and when he would say: ” mom look at the time, it’s 11:11” he wanted me to remember 11:11. Mark died at exactly 11 years and 11 days to the day!

12 days till September 18th, Mark’s birthday. Today I remember Mark’s last trip to Egypt, he had so much fun snorkeling at the Red Sea.. It was the best experience as he called it… I miss you Mark. I am glad you enjoyed this trip. I love you.. please know it.

14 days till Mark’s 16th birthday, Today’s memory is from when his sister was born, November 14, 2018. He loved her so much and promised her saying “Violet, I will spoil you!”- he died before she turned 2.

In 15 days, I will celebrate Mark’s 16th birthday. I am sharing a memory every day for more people to get to know him.. Mark loved to sing and perform, and of course he loved the king! Halloween 2018, (my mom was a happy grandma that day) Mark died before Halloween 2020

In 17 days, I will celebrate Mark’s 16th birthday. Mark was smart, he started reading at the age of 3! my favorite Prek memory, is when he would sing to his teacher his favorite Sound of Music song, 16 going on 17.🥰 Mrs Lauren McGown loved it. I miss you Mark.
