Last year I was interviewing for a Global Employer Brand Manager role at a very well known tech company. They asked me to develop a brand campaign for how I’d boost their employer brand. I spent 10+ hrs on this. They didn’t hire me and they implemented my project 3 months later.
5/ My concerns with that email:
- they're asking for work before even saying hello
- they're asking for real work, which they could easily take & use for free
- asking for that depth of work so casually is odd. Is there a lack of understanding? Off expectations? Something else?
