My surgeon’s office called me yesterday and pushed forward my reversal surgery to Monday! I’m ready but also not ready. But it means I have more time to recover before Christmas. 🥹.

Reversal surgery on the 8th! Sucks that I might be in hospital for Ibz’s birthday on the 10th, but just happy to close this chapter of my life very soon. 🥹.

Oncology appointment and I’m pretty much all good! I’m starting hormone therapy (my cancer is estrogen-driven), so hopefully I’ll tolerate it well. I’ll have another scan in a month to see how the tiny lymph node anomaly is behaving and also to clear me for my ostomy reversal. 🥹.

So many women I know are getting massive growths and other symptoms in their lady parts. It’s terrifying how flawed the female body is and how modern medicine is failing so many. My heart breaks for those who come to me for the scant comfort I can give when I myself need it. 💔.

My GPs (I have 2) think that the tiny lymph node lesion is probably not even cancer but likely leftover inflammation from my huge surgery. Of course, my oncologist has the final say (appointment on Wednesday). But it would be so grand if it were so! 🤞🏽🙏🏽🤞🏽🙏🏽🤞🏽🙏🏽.

and will need more surgery/treatment in the coming weeks. I had hoped to be back to normal sooner rather than later. Still, I am grateful. I’m almost there. 🙏🏽 (2/2).
