Anyone hiring Harvard grads should take note.
These Harvard students…did not react well to the report on grade inflation: “The whole entire day, I was crying. I skipped classes on Monday, and I was just sobbing in bed because I felt like I try so hard in my classes, and my grades aren’t even the best. It just felt

I still have a BluRay player and plan to add all the boxed set editions of the Blue Jays post season 2025 to the shelf, next to the dozen or so editions of Hunt for Red October I own. And if Davis Schneider wants to do a version of Hunt with his commentary on the audio, I’d buy

Am looking for a good Catholic social teaching or canon law treatment of Alberta’s legislation on the teachers strike. Is there anything out there?

It isn’t clear to me what the term “non-lawyer” adds to this observation. Two years ago at @RunnymedeSoc Mr Rowe singled out the G3 political science line up for insights into constitutionalism.
CTV interviewed these two so-called "experts" who claim that the legislature having supremacy over unelected judges with terms to age 75 threatens democracy: 1. Non-lawyer political scientist 2. Non-lawyer who was formerly an Alberta Liberal MLA (which CTV didn't disclose)

Promising careers of service members were destroyed, and the nation’s security suffered, as a result.
General Jennie Carignan offers apology "Because I acknowledge the role that Canadian Armed Forces leadership at all levels played in allowing this injustice to occur." "That it has blighted the service of so many brave Canadians and caused such deep and lasting harm."

CTV is publicly funded, which should impose a high standard for journalism.

@Mark_S_Harding @irbrodie @jkenney @GeoffSigalet A matter of opinion, and one on which conservatives can disagree. I'd note that The Hub declined to run a conservative rejoinder to Sigalet's piece. As is their prerogative. My point: dismissing an opponent of the govt as "left wing" is lazy and beneath us in this moment.

Geez I should have included Mark along with Sigalet and the G3!
Before we condemn Alberta for using the notwithstanding clause, we should understand that the Supreme Court only recognized a right to strike in 2015 because the time had come to grant the right "benediction." Whatever that means, it isn't principled legal reasoning. My latest:

@irbrodie A player is a rookie until he loses eligibility. In practice a guy who pitched fewer than 50 innings in a year is unlikely to be ROY that year, but there have been players to earn ROY votes in two different years as noted by the irreplaceable Sarah Langs. https://t.co/VmkxS41vqO

CTV really should assign someone to interview the G3 and Sigalet, to do up an article correcting the record. It would be a service to the public debate.

@irbrodie Baker’s Not Quite Supreme is excellent. A must read for anyone who is interested in Sec. 33 and the place of the judiciary/parliament in Canadian politics.
