This album is like the 17th season of Grey’s Anatomy… I still love the show! But I wish she was interested in doing anything else creatively?? At least Shonda dropped Bridgerton then…
@iramadisonthree
I know what I told you earlier but I got my Adderall for the first time in 2 weeks today and now I feel like this is a comedy album in the vein of Bloodhound Gang & I can appreciate THAT. Felt this way about Positions, too. George Carlin. One night only.
@iramadisonthree
This analogy makes no sense because you’re implying that in the past 17 years she hasn’t changed her sound, creativity, etc which would probably be the most obtuse and absurd thing to say considering how much she has actually revamped her style 😅

@iramadisonthree
His implication is that Shonda didn’t creatively change until she created Bridgerton; which again if you’re saying a lot changed in greys, his analogy STILL doesn’t make sense
@iramadisonthree
To me, this new album is the equivalent of unseasoned tagliatelle pasta with breast chicken.
It's food solid enough to keep you fed, but it's definitely not tasty.
@christress
I agree in general about her recent work, but I feel like this is her first album in years to have something interesting, or authentic, to say. In the sense she lashes out at fans, friends and herself and embraces villainy and mania in a way she only did for show on Midnights
@iramadisonthree
She needs to go back to Reputation or at least write some pop hooks or try something risky. She’s leaning on this sound so much and saying nothing in the process. Unfortunately she doesn’t have the vocal chops to get out of this lane much.
@iramadisonthree
You know what they say about child performers. They’re stunted and get emotionally stuck at the age of the height of their performance. She seems stuck at 17.
@iramadisonthree
She’s still 34, i love the album but this critic is also makes sense, im kinda hoping this kind of critic become more widespread so she see this as a challange
