Kyoto needs to prove the theory that AI is smart enough to evaluate code with high accuracy. lucky for us ai is getting faster, cheaper and smarter. in the future, we may no longer write unittests; we write intent (often called user stories or spec-driven development/TDD/BDD)

Kyoto is an intent testing framework that takes natural language (often called user stories), breaks it down into tests, then evaluates the source code to ensure that intent is achievable

given the value of test automation, the cost of regressions, and the vibe coding movement (including spec-driven development) there is a thirst for new ways of testing our products.

the art of vibe coding is often resulting in no tests. or worse, testing is getting in the way of faster development. we need to think differently about testing code.
