The final line in this is spot on. Could more foresight have addressed some of this. Pre pandemic I was writing about and @indycube were delivering work local spaces. Any horizon scanning showed the direction of travel.Big consultancy and engineering led +had vested interests.

This popped up as a memory today. We used to joke when at @indycube that our biggest competitor was the public sector. These figures should make you think. Crazy figures for what they were and delivered and no surprise several are no more.

Totally agree. Unpaid work is unaffordable for most people. It actually means a loss for creatives who may have temporary jobs to keep their heads above water
