I didn’t start cybersecurity the right way… here’s the truth 🧵👇

This is me starting again. And this time, I’m doing it right.

If you’ve ever started something, stopped, and felt like you failed... you didn’t. You just needed a better approach.

I may not be where I want yet… but I know I’m on the right path now. And that matters.

Even when I don’t have constant access to internet, I still find ways to stay committed to this path.

Now I’m learning through the Google Cybersecurity Certificate (on scholarship). And I’m focusing on actually understanding the fundamentals. No rushing. No shortcuts.

Fast forward to 2026… I made a decision to start again. But this time, with clarity and intention.

Eventually, I stopped. Not because I didn’t care… but because I didn’t build it the right way. That was in 2022.

I focused more on getting certificates than truly understanding the basics. No solid foundation. No structure. And with time, I lost direction completely.

After the program, I went back to what originally interested me 🫴hacking. So I started taking courses in cybersecurity , ethical hacking and python . But I made a mistake…

But I stayed consistent during the training. I asked questions, practiced, and gave it my best. Surprisingly, I ended up among the top participants.

Before I even got admission, I had signed up for a training by GIZ a program focused on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. I had zero coding experience when I started.
