might also just be my algorithm, so please let me know if I'm just not following the right people. It's sad but I can only think of a handful of names that still sometimes post exciting and inspiring demos. Maybe it's just that we're all shipping real software now, who knows

I am part of the dynamic, it's not like I don't find those discussions interesting, but somehow I barely see any inspiring content built with #FlutterDev anymore... I know "cool" is a super abstract word, but maybe other people feel the same...

Allow me to vent for a moment: #FlutterDev doesn't feel "cool" to me rn what I see from React, Expo and Swift, is people showing off cool demos, and building fun stuff that pushes the envelope. we discuss state management, DI, and basic app architecture 100 times over

@luke_pighetti have you tried this yet? curious if this solves your issues We are migrating all of ClickUp to it because it works much better than smooth_sheets for us, but it's not nearly as fully featured yet

Friendly reminder that I have the smoothest implementation of modal sheets with scrollable content in #FlutterDev (at least that I know of) It handles scrolling and resizing content perfectly. also comes with a better version of the classic cupertino sheet view.

What are legitimate use-cases for `shrinkWrap` in a #FlutterDev `ListView` that - aren't a workaround for something else - wouldn't be solved better by `SingleChildScrollView`

#FlutterDev tip: use the current `Scrollable.of(context)` to react to scroll events from inside the scrollable content. Combine this with `NotificationListener` if you need to listen from outside the scrollable, and you barely ever need to drill down `ScrollController` anymore.

https://t.co/GXEDdF9JDy It’s also very handy to verify layouts across different devices, or generate simple app store screenshots (including device frames)

Small update to my #flutterdev widget testing package: it will now load iOS fonts from your Mac if you have them installed 💫 If you‘ve ever written widget tests and felt frustrated because you didn’t know what was on "screen", this is for you! (Link below)

@FlutterDev Actually wondering right now: I assume the post processing effects in Flame use .toImageSync() as well, how does memory consumption not go through the roof for you guys @reNotANumber @spydon 👀

https://t.co/wRKFYfBaBc Super happy to see that the @FlutterDev team is working on the main issue for complex shader effects like Liquid Glass right now 🥹 I know people aren't always happy about the team's focus, but the communication and velocity here has been amazing

fixes #138627 This stops ballooning recursive display_lists that can happen in animations. The display list actually can be larger than the image so keeping the display list around is no benefit. ...

well that certainly sounds like something that's gonna increase investment in Impeller 🎉
We’re teaming up with Google’s Flutter team to bring Impeller to .NET Impeller is Flutters new GPU-optimised renderer, replacing Skia for better performance on mobile and embedded devices. This is what open collaboration looks like 🚀 https://t.co/0LDs5zDNsp

I don't know if everyone is doing this already and I'm just late to the party, but #Flutter widget testing using semantics is so helpful! The infrastructure Flutter comes with is a bit lackluster though. iirc, @wolfenrain pioneered this a bit with Fluttium.

@RydMike @k8lovett @ThomasBurkhartB @caseycrogers @mraleph @imadetheseworks Flutter is basically one big ad for Google’s Cloud and AI services. People love Flutter, and it so just happens that we provide well-lit paths to Google’s ecosystem. And the iOS ecosystem is very lucrative, so Google needs us at the top of the funnel.

@RydMike @k8lovett @ThomasBurkhartB @caseycrogers @mraleph @imadetheseworks Honestly, it's extremely difficult to talk about what the people upstairs' goals are for Flutter without getting into sketchy territory for us as employees. We are not being hand wavy for fun 🫠

I wanna share a very positive anecdote: over the last few weeks I've written back and forth with some #flutterdev team members about improvments to the engine that enable Liquid Glass. And it seems like they're insanely motivated and shipping for real!
What's up with all the negative feeling regarding Flutter lately? It's doing fine. Lots of cool changes are being made.
