In @ForeignPolicy, I argue that the generosity Europe has shown refugees from Ukraine is admirable, but the more important thing the west has done is to give Ukrainians the means to defend themselves, so they— unlike Syrians—still have a home to return to.

@CallumHoare_ @Daily_Express Why isn’t the mother skinny? For the same reason you always see 1 sick kid and chubby parents in these photos. This child has a genetic disease, as do many other children in Gaza where the rates of cousin marriage is about 40%.
