On November 1st I accomplished my goal and paid off my student loans in full. I am now OFFICIALLY DEBT FREE!!!! I prayed for this, sacrificed for this, worked extremely hard for this and I'm still surprised that I did this!!!! Thank you God!!!

For me I came up with a budget plan, got a second job, stopped buying lunch and packed lunch everyday everywhere even on weekends, stopped buying alcohol, stopped attending parties/events that required cover charges, stopped doing brunches, saved all my tax refund checks etc.

I use to think this until one of them told me they plan to retire soon and all their accrued PTO will be paid back to them in their 401K so he would have an extra $30K tax free for retirement. Sounds kind of smart to me.
