International conference of Particle Physics, held every two years since 1950. 06-13 July 2022, Bologna, Italy
Joined January 2022
ICHEP is the most important conference for the High Energy Physics. The 41st edition will be held for the first time in Italy in more than 70years. Bologna and Ferrara @INFN_ divisions and Universities are proud to welcome you to Bologna, in July 2022! #particlephysics #ichep2022

"At the end of the conference, there is always one crazy guy that summarizes 6 days of conference, 17 parallel sessions, 300+ posters. Today is my turn." R. Tenchini in his final summary of #ichep2022. And last but not least, final remarks and acknowledgments by the chairs!

We have to build new facilities while we can I feel there is a belief in some quarters that HEP will die with the LHC, and we have to get beyond that At FCC-ee, every few years we could have a new collider, exploring the Z, the Higgs, the W, the top.. Mogens Dam @ichep2022

We have to ask: are we really enthusiastic about the future of our field? Otherwise we cannot convince young people to join us Students tell us they are excited about doing ILC physics, so it is our responsibility to make future projects reality Toshinori Mori @ichep2022

We are not only looking for the best performance of future devices, but also their efficiency We are taking these things very seriously, and it is also an important area for synergies with other fields Angeles Faus-Golfe @ichep2022

Sad that most of our guests are leaving Bologna on the last day of #ichep2022. But happy to have strengthened old friendships and made new ones, and we hope you have enjoyed the conference. Thanks a lot for coming, we hope to see you again somewhere on our "pale blue dot"!

[3/3] The technology/knowledge transfer to the industry was discussed: applications of #hep techniques to everyday problems, as well as industrial development proposing solutions for HEP. A key focus was given to @ATTRACTEU, bridging the gap between industry and HEP research!

[2/3] Then, the status and perspective of formal theory were presented: from Hawking's information loss paradox solutions to machine learning to improve string theory modeling. But there are still many challenges in building the theory of everything! #ichep2022

[2/2]The usage of these new techniques in lepton flavour studies has been shown at the end of the day. Lepton Flavour Violation processes of muons will be potentially discovered in experiments like MEG-II, Mu2e, and the hype in the physics community is extremely high! #ichep2022
