One More Fleurie went from travelling very sweetly in todays Scottish National to really struggling on the last circuit. He suffered a bizarre injury to his hind foot. In 40 years I’ve never seen one like it!! He is staying in the Equine Hospital Glasgow for a day or two.

An update on Alfred Boucher . Robert Allcock's lovely grey was pulled up by @RKingscote after going lame @ChesterRaces . He's damaged a tendon, but has received exemplary care by the Racecourse Vets and is comfortable - fingers crossed🤞but it's so far, so good 🙏

The decision has been made to retire Gas Line Boy for @JulieEThwaites . He was a star, particularly over the National fences @AintreeRaces where he won the 2017 Grand Sefton - he also finished 5th & 7th in the Grand National itself #HappyRetirement .

ONE MORE FLEURIE Is reported to be doing well during his continued stay at Glasgow Equine Hospital. He is staying put for a few days before , no setbacks, travelling home. At this stage, although guarded, the prognosis is good for a return to racing next Autumn

A sad day at Dominion Racing Stables as we report the loss of our stable star and huge character, MOKAATIL. He was much loved by all the team, especially his everyday rider, Maisie and was adored by his owners Colin & Graeme. RIP Champ. Full tribute here

I'm very sad to report that we lost Highland Dress in action at Meydan today. Henry, as he was known, was a gentleman of a horse, much loved by his owners, Hicky, Spencer, Allan & Scott and adored by Megg & Ben, who cared for him so brilliantly in Dubai . RIP Henry 😪

Sad news to report from @Chepstow_Racing as River Wylde for @StuartParkin4 @ParkinShelly had to be put down after colliding with Mont Des Avaloirs. His loss will be felt most by Shelly and Stuart, but also by everyone at the yard - he was a pleasure train . RIP River Wylde.

UK NH jocks work extremely hard over the course of the season. Falls, injuries, long days. Season finished Saturday. Racing resumed on Monday. None til Sat. Next break, 4 days in July!! Then 7 days in August! So basically no proper holiday to recover and refresh. #needslookingat.
