David Maxwell is probably one of the only “true” amateurs riding atm. He puts a fortune into the game, and rides his own horses. I think he will admit he’s not as good as the professionals, but he tries every time. To see the flak he gets on here is quite sad really.

Our last 3 horses on the gallops before they leave to go to other yards. 2 nice 2yos by Helmet with their lead horse. Thanks to all who have supported us over the last 19 years. All staff been found jobs at other yards. Great days.

Great first 2 weeks back in Ireland and met and been reunited with lots of old friends. Been racing 6 days and my only gripe is that lads canteens still charge lads and lasses €1.50 for a paper cup of tea!! Surely a bit of hot water and tea bag could be free for these guys 😦

Sad to hear that Edredon Bleu has passed away at 26yo. Trained brilliantly by Henrietta Knight and looked after since his retirement by Graham Thorner. Won 12 of his 26 races and over £500k. Legend of a horse

Did Goshen really run a bad race? Not run since Cheltenham. Upped in grade to 0-100. Still 2nd 1f out. Btn 4lnts by race fit horses. Ready for jumping now. I’d say the owners, trainer and jockey are happy. I know I would be.
