Check out how the Mapbox MCP server can boost Claude Desktop and other AI chat bots' geospatial awareness and capabilities. Get directions and ETAs, conduct research about points of interest, check walkability with isochrones, and more.
AI just got a sense of place. 🌎 We just launched @Mapbox MCP — the first protocol that makes LLMs and agents spatially aware. Let’s talk about why that matters 👇

We can't believe we've been fortunate enough to be on this journey for 20 years. If we had to sum it all up in one word, it would be: grateful. #ds20 1/5

Did you know Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar and Barack Obama in Honolulu? Who is the most famous person from your home town? I made a map of the most notable people around the world. Built with @Mapbox. Check it out here: https://t.co/NR0J7nqTn1 🧵

Le compré a mi hijo un curso de programación de "Python para principiantes" y no lo quiere, así que lo estoy regalando. Tiene 12 años, es cariñoso, pero creo que no le va a gustar programar.

My daughter got a @GoPro for her birthday this week. Shortly after firing it up she says "Oh look they're using Mapbox!" and shows me the thumbnail-sized current location map displayed on top of the video in their iPad app. Love the daily surprise "they're using Mapbox!"

We've just open sourced the code behind PEARL, our platform that allows you to do fast AI-based land classification without writing a line of code. We hope this code will accelerate responsible efforts to monitor our planet and address climate change 🧵 https://t.co/kBAEOwucmI

Baby steps. A gentle rage. The process has not changed and so the approach won't either, but now a greater focus is required. The little things of the day make the difference in the big things of life. There is a calm urgency... https://t.co/VgylofmOBa PC: @StephenKersh

What's the most you've used Facebook Messenger Kids in one day? "About three hours". What were you doing? "Talking to my friends...while playing Roblox"...

Is the best thing to read after the Hard Thing About Hard Things, is to re-read it? Does anything compare or compliment?

What an incredible milestone. Congrats to everyone who has contributed to get to this point. Wonderful to see #100000000 in Senegal
100 Million Edits to OpenStreetMap! The collective contribution of nearly 1 billion features globally over 16 years, by over 1.5 million mappers. Changeset 100,000,000 was uploaded by user Lamine Ndiaye, adding buildings in Nianiane, Sénégal. https://t.co/FMEU5YJAOI

Today we added 80M additional addresses in the US to the @Mapbox basemap. 🥳 This is possible by loading addresses from over 1000 open data sources and commercial vendors, deduplicating these datasets, and picking the best address for each building. See before/after pics.

LOL I've started "dressing up" from home (aka wearing a collared shirt). I think I'll cycle through my entire collared shirt collection just for kicks, then N * M that with my ties from high school.
Its has become very clear to me why the 1918 pandemic was followed by the roaring 20s & why people were dressing up to go just about anywhere
