Guess what’s the latest big project we’re building at work… 🤣
ERPs are notoriously expensive, painful to implement, and disliked by users, yet are absolutely necessary and business-critical for its customers. There's a big opportunity for new startups that build modern, flexible, and easy-to-use software that helps businesses run. @daltonc

Spent a while debugging why some API calls were taking so long (like, an extra 500 ms)… Without realizing that I’m working from home in Japan 🇯🇵, and “work” is in Germany 🇩🇪!!! (For the curious ones, I’m being routed via Tokyo, Seattle WA, Ashburn VA, London and Frankfurt) 👍

Parcel delivery firm DPD have replaced their customer service chat with an AI robot thing. It’s utterly useless at answering any queries, and when asked, it happily produced a poem about how terrible they are as a company. It also swore at me. 😂

Tell me you don't understand how encodings work in one simple comment: "Because String of rust should only contain valid utf-8 characters while javascript allows non-utf8 characters, the parser stores invalid utf8 characters in escaped form." WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ????

Sitting at one of my kid’s friend b’day party, and overhearing cryptobros trying to explain their magical money making ponzi chains… Never heard so much horse manure coming out of human mouths in such a short amount of time!
