Rule of thumb for where you invest your energy. 60 to 80% on Drivers. 10 to 20% on Delighters. 5 to 10% on Blockers. (Rule of thumb ≠ all the time).

Blockers are some technical blocker reason a customer cannot use your product. Often bugs, but not always. They could be a technical blocker that prevents portion of your user base from using your product well.

Delighters make the product easier to use, more fun, and more. well, delightful! The problem is they rarely drive outcomes, so they become challenging to prioritize. Many move the needle, but not each individually, like the opposite of 1000 paper cuts.

Drivers move the needle for your business. They are features that solve big customer problems, and they drive the product to realize the product vision (and strategy). When solved for, they improve both customer and business outcomes.

Thread on a product prioritization hack that has served me well over the years. Consider three buckets:. 1 - Drivers.2 - Delighters.3 - Blockers. #product #prioritization.
