Wanna revisit this because as I scroll IG… a bunch of rappers posting so much content and have never had to rock open mics, and you can tell. No camera presence.Lack luster mannerisms .No stage presence. Not enough emcees.
Because, after every director I’ve worked with has told me I’m a joy to shoot because of my on-camera performance… . I can appreciate how much an artist puts into their energy and mannerisms . And @SaveBenReilly be putting on a masterclass of controlled expression and ownership.

Funny, I wrote my “Pop Star” record on the heels of talking about being an underground pop star . It came up because all my life people said I’d be a star, so I was like well what does that even look like now? Maybe not how they thought . I’m good with a underground/niche star.
We are in the Niche Era. An artist can be a SUPERSTAR within their niche and 99 out of 100 random people might have no idea who they are. Saying “I don’t know anyone who listens to [Artist X]” says more about your orbit than their popularity.
