sneak peek at rough draft versions of very simple guide to teaching online, aimed at folk with little prior experience, some anxieties, and, perhaps, a smidgen of technophobia. Don't worry, we're on the case!

The idea that masked, separated from each other, forced to face forward in rows, not work together, lecturer stuck at front masked, ushered out with nowhere to study is a better quality experience than a decent online course says how little some people know about education.

We carved your island in two, we gerrymandered, (along with a spot or two of local ethnic cleansing) an armed border, discriminated viciously against part of the population, &made intimidation & effigy-burning a key part of our 'culture'. Would you like to join us in celebrating?

Labour is a staunchly unionist party, as anyone living in Scotland can testify. Union flags, Orange Lodge members, etc. Some folk mistakenly think that because of their name they might be more in favour of dismantling Imperial constructs. Couldn't be further from the truth.

You don't have to keep thinking about recording powerpoint lecture presentations in the switch to online. Why not 'convert' to a readable learning guide; a narrative written as if to an individual student with reflection questions, suggested readings, etc..

Today the formal online exams ended. 300 scheduled exams, +226 modules with alternative assessments for 3.5 weeks. Over 13,000 exam paper uploads, 9,000 MCQ-type submissions, in addition to the alternative assessments, which alone produced 14,000 uploads on one day. @nuigalway

The Galway ring road is a crime against the environment & future generations. It's an appalling use of public funds. It's crass, out-dated, & flies in the face of the vital need for proper carbon-0 public transport. If you want to reduce congestion, decrease the number of cars.
