Try to imagine. We welcome you now to take the first steps into that future. We welcome you to the Living Seas. We welcome you to SeaBase Alpha (Seabase Alpha to surface control. All Hydrolators pressurized and ready for boarding.)
You know! That feeling of walking out for the final time, trying to hold it all together on the outside buy actually being a complete mess on the inside. 🥹
“I once asked John Hench, 'What does this all mean? What's the deeper meaning of all this?' And he said, ‘The meaning of the parks is very simple. It's you're going to be okay.’”-Bob Weis, The Imagineering Story
In my top 10 favorites of all time. Recently I heard a Disney podcaster say she had never been inside this show. Other hosts said they had only gone in to get cool. I realize that these sentiments will eventually be the end of some classic Disney experiences. That saddens me.
It’s the feeling of that moment. Leaving your favorite park at the end of the day-exhausted, sad, and wondering when you will get a chance to return once again. We should never take for granted any opportunities we have to visit the places we love. Goodnight friends. 🌛
Rarely do I share personnel issues here but spent some time this week in the ER with stroke symptoms. Still not feeling great but I see my doc. on Monday. I’m sharing because your Disney posts are a HUGE source of joy to me. Thank you all for making a rough week much sweeter.
I’ve learned over the past several weeks that many of my
#DisTwitter
friends, especially my EPCOT friends, have never set foot into The American Adventure in World Showcase. Please my friends, please don’t pass this gem of a show by next time you visit. You won’t regret it. 😉
I’m (once again) curious. What is your favorite all time attraction/ride musical soundtrack? It can be from any park, anywhere in the world. Thanks friends.
A few years ago, we spent Christmas Day at EPCOT (my favorite park of all time) and this was our Christmas dinner celebration. Such a fantastic memory.
Still believe EPCOT’s American Experience show building is one of the most beautiful ever constructed. I posted some of these photos a few years ago and was dumbfounded as to how many asked me where this was-because they had never been in before.

I’m pretty sure that every time I walk in and see this, I have a huge smile on my face. For some reason, it’s the place that just helps me feel peaceful, like…I’m home. Is there any other spot at a Disney park that helps you feel that way?
The wait times are too long and you can ONLY ride 1. Which 1 do you ride and why? (And for those of you who are contrarian, please do not tell me you are skipping all three and doing the PeopleMover instead 😉).
With my love of all things S.E.A. it was my mission to finally visit Skipper Canteen on my last visit. What a fun experience. I’m sure the other guests were wondering why I was there so long taking photos of the entire place. Anyone else like Skipper Canteen as well?
I know I post this often but THIS is one of my absolute favorite places to hang out. What’s your favorite hang out spot within a Disney park or any park anywhere?
My father was a Government/Economics teacher for 25+ years. For my 16th birthday, he bought me 10 shares of the Walt Disney Company. At the time, I thought this was the lamest 16th birthday present ever. But now, the certificate hangs proudly on my office wall. Thanks Dad!
So many people I know don’t give AK enough love. I’ve been to enough theme parks to know that this is one of the most beautiful for sure. Anyone else think that this is a gorgeous park or is it just me?
You know that feeling. That time of the night when you are still a little sweaty and your legs are still a little sore. But it’s also that time of night when the crowds have thinned and you want that last walk around the lake just to remember that night. You know that feeling.
On the last night of my first ever trip to WDW in 1981, we left on the ferry. My parents tell me that I stood alone on the back of the boat, staring off at the distant Main Street lights with tears steaming down my face. They never forgot that moment. 🥹
You know you’ve perhaps gone off the Disney deep end when your collection includes soaps and other body products from the resorts. 😉
Who else is guilty of this?
“Disneyland wasn’t just a park. It was an interactive movie rendered in three dimensions. The artists at WED Enterprises, taking their lead from Walt Disney, had approached its design not as a series of unrelated amusements but as one ongoing experience.”-The Imagineering Story
One of my favorite areas of EPCOT just to sit and take it all in. On my last visit, I stayed in this area for about 1.5 hours enjoying the park soundtrack, watching people smile, and listening to the hum of the monorail overhead. Where is your favorite EPCOT hangout spot?
That moment when you are leaving EPCOT and your WDW vacation and you say goodnight to the cast members but secretly are really just trying to hold back a flood of tears. (Or is that just me?)
I’m never going to be the guy who brings you the latest Disney park news or have the most historical information or knowledge. But I am endeavoring to be a safe place where we can come to be reminded of the joy we all share in this whimsical Disney journey. Happy Monday friends.
When I sit in this place after dark, watching the lights gently begin illuminating the buildings, listening to the sounds of wind & water blended with music & merriment, it’s here that all the concerns of life feel like they will be ok. Good night my friends!
For a Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.) mega fan, it was such a joy to have lunch at the Skipper Canteen on my last trip. Anyone else enjoy this spot?

Years ago we spent Christmas Day at EPCOT. During lunch at Garden Grille I mentioned to my family how upset I was for not getting Candlelight Processional tickets. But when our waiter brought the check, he also had 4 Candlelight Processional tickets in hand with a wink and smile.
What a truly unexpected experience tonight. First time watching this film and it’s very rare that something like this catches me off guard and touches me so deeply in my Soul.
Good morning friends. Today I am 1,168.4 miles from my beloved EPCOT but that won’t stop me from wishing you a happy

.
How far are you?
I know it’s the attractions in the parks that get the most attention and that completely makes sense. But it’s the more “natural” features that I think are too often overlooked by hurried guests. Next time you visit WDW, I hope you are awed by the trees, flowers, plants and H2O.
Just here thinking about my 10 favorites of all time.
1. Horizons
2. Avatar Flight of Passage
3. Carousel of Progress
4. Soarin over California
5. Haunted Mansion
6. Spaceship Earth
7. American Adventure
8. Great Movie Ride
9. World of Motion
10. Imagination
What ya got?
We may come from different backgrounds, different places & different beliefs but I’m thankful for our collective love for all things Disney parks. 3 years ago after a difficult time, I vowed that I would never again be ashamed of whimsy and fun. Thx for helping me keep that vow.
For some reason, I tend to end most of my evenings at MK in TomorrowLand. Other than Main Street, where do you typically find yourself at the end of a MK visit?
In my middle school years (1982 or 1983) I designed my own park that I called Walt Disney Universe. In addition to building a model in my room, I also designed marketing materials including this poster that I drew. Anyone else play the role of an amateur Imagineer in your youth?
Purchased this album in the mid 80’s on my first visit to

. I can’t tell you how many hundreds of times I listened to it as a teen. Well today after probably at least 25 years, I bought a record player so I could relive memories. Thought I would share. Enjoy! 😊
Good morning. With all the crowds at WDW over the past two weeks, I’ve been thinking about those quieter, “out of the way” places we can go to escape the bustle. What are some of your favorite spots?
Just sitting here thinking how much I would love to do a little midnight cruise through some greenhouses. What’s the latest time you have ridden this attraction?
Can you imagine Rise of the Resistance with no soundtrack to accompany it? Without the powerful orchestral arrangement on Flight of Passage, there would be no tears dripping from my eyes, no goosebumps on my arms. Music is so vital to the experience. What’s your favorite?
I’m sure not a popular opinion but this will always be my most favorite Star Wars experience at Disney. (Not sure why I’m thinking about this at 5:08am on a Saturday morning 😉) Good day friends.
The end to my favorite EPCOT souvenir video of all time. Always a lump in my throat by the time the narrator reads the words from the dedication plaque.. “may it instill a new sense of belief and pride in man's ability to shape a world that offers hope to people everywhere.”
On my last WDW solo trip, I spent two days at EPCOT leisurely strolling through World Showcase trying to capture detail that many times we are too much in a hurry to notice. Here are some views of the United Kingdom. What’s your favorite country in World Showcase?
Like many of you, it’s often the magnificent watery reflections that draw me in, slow me down for a moment, and truly capture my gaze.
What do some of your favorite reflective spots look like?
I’m a sucker for a good Disney gift shop. The really good ones continue to carry on story telling in a playful way. Have you been here before? Here you find Willie the Giant from the Mickey and the Beanstalk segment of the 1947 Disney film, Fun and Fancy Free.
I remember sitting here a few years ago for several hours as the sun was setting just watching the gondolas moving back and forth, the boats going here and there & the guests walking to and fro. It was magical. I dream of returning soon. Good evening my friends.
These are still so hauntingly magical for me. I guess in this day and age of everything so high tech it’s just beautiful to know that these can bring such joy.
“Good morning ladles and gentlemen, boys and girls. All of us at EPCOT Center are glad to have you as our guests today. We welcome you and hope you find your day with us to be a most enjoyable one.”
#SpaceshipEarthSunday
It’s probably the same with many others but it’s my tradition to ALWAYS ride SpaceshipEarth first thing in the morning to begin my EPCOT visit and end the day with it as well. I’ve always seen it as EPCOT’s Welcome Center. 😊
Happy

my friends.
We have now arrived at our destination. The doors will open automatically and we ask that you please watch your step as you depart. Good morning and welcome to another beautiful
