Excited to kick off a new journey in #FrontendDev! After delivering some of the most complex apps in the City of London—including the world’s largest React app for in 2017—I’ve built tailored solutions for Bank of America, Barclays, RBS, Nomura, BNP.

Chief Rabbi on a rapper’s performance: “This is a time of national shame. ”. On his son serving in a foreign army accused of genocide: “Danny is part of a quite remarkable unit in the Israeli army.”. Does he even know what shame is?.

10. If you’re a coder, you will hit walls. But with the right rhythm — work + recovery — you won’t crash. You’ll thrive. Take care of your brain. You only get one. 🧠💻🫶.

9. Your brain is a muscle. Respect it. Train it. But most of all — don’t break it. Creative work isn’t about constant output. It’s about sustainable brilliance.

8. Pay attention to your body. When your brain is tired, don’t keep hammering keys. Do something physical but low-cognitive:.– Go for a walk.– Cook a meal.– Do some sports.– Meditate.– Sleep. Think of it as giving your brain a massage.

7. Let your creativity run wild — when it calls. But honour the recovery window that must follow. This is how you stay in the game for decades.

So no, the advice shouldn’t be: “Don’t do that.”.The advice should be:.👉 Prepare for it. 👉 Recover from it. If you binge code for 14 hours, give yourself real rest. If daily balance is not for you, be at least overall balanced.

5. You’ll have bursts of inspiration. You’ll enter flow states where time disappears. You’ll pull all-nighters, forget meals, forget breaks, even forget to pee. And often — that’s when you write your best code. You feel alive. You feel proud. It’s magical.

4. After 25+ years of professional coding, here's what I’ve learned:.Typical advice like “sleep well, eat healthy, do sports, take breaks” is great….But not enough. Because coding is creative work — more like poetry than factory labour.

3. Ever stared blankly at your monitor, unable to think, frozen in guilt?.You want to be productive. But your brain refuses to cooperate. Should you just keep pushing through?.Is that actually productive?.

2. No one says, “Son, your brain’s exhausted, take a month off.”.Not even you might notice — until it’s too late. But the signs are there. And if you learn to see them, you can avoid damage and recover gracefully.

Most people don’t realise this, but coding is an intense, brain-consuming job. Like athletes who push their bodies to the limit and get injured, we too suffer — just mentally. But our injuries are invisible. No broken arms, no casts. Just burnout, fatigue, brain fog. 🧵Thread:.
