This weekend was super busy add a back injury and it was still fun. Friday got to proclaim 11/1/24 LBJ High Day. Saturday hit the Women's march, Windsor Park Eco Fest, and finishing it up with the 19th annual Hopefest.

Hard decisions coming, TX is weakening public schools to make the voucher scam more attractive. Don't t fall for it! However, you vote on @AustinISD Prop A; if TX (the Lege) doesn't change attendance and Recapture--the same again. This is not a silver bullet, it is a lifeline.

to actually work in my passion. I have begun a position as the Teacher Residency Coordinator for ACC Teacher Certification Program, now invested in 16 early career educators and their journey to certification by year’s end. You can be assured I am still doing the work.

with her health diagnosis. I have a child who is now working in education and needs support, a child who is navigating advanced courses, and multiple extra curricular activities which means a Lyft driver most days; at the same time I still have bills to pay. I am fortunate enough.

An Open Note to the Austin ISD Community. Today, Saturday October 12 I slept in until 8:07. I’m still tired even though I’ve had enough sleep. You may not see me in all the places doing all the things, because 2024 has been a year. I'm the main caregiver for my mom as she deals.
