The All In podcast was by far my fav podcast of 2022, but now it’s become a political battle b/w
@DavidSacks
and
@Jason
It use to provide a balanced political and economic view, but now it feels more like a yelling contest
Hoping they can turn it around, but losing hope weekly

Also becoming more and more scripted. Sad that they’re optimizing for shareable sound bites rather than respectful conversation amongst friends. Moving away from what made it great.

Friedberg is the man. At the All In summer conference (can’t remember what they called it) in a QnA they asked each person who their favorite was. Maybe 80% voted Friedberg. Numbers talk.

Interesting to see the reactions here. I was lambasted for saying it’s a good podcast, either way I think 108 was fantastic.
It’s raw, this is how people talk. Not just the typical “so what in your life made you who you are” podcast we have 1 million of.

How do you listen to any podcast with David Sacks as a diversity VC operator? You are aware of his history aren’t you? His book?

I lost interest episodes again when I felt some of the opinions became very 'certain' about what to do, coming from people without even close to the level of information necessary to be so certain.
This pertains to big geopolitical decisions.
I still like it when they banter.

Enjoyed the most recent ep mostly for the note from Sacks on contraction next year:
- expect to do 50% of new business as this year
- logo churn will go up as cos go out of biz
- spending and hiring will be way down
And seems like the bestie beef is shifting 🥩

I do think it would be better with less of a political section. I really like the tech and investing side of things.
@JTLonsdale
does a good job with his keep it all about positive developments in America.

I agree. This has been a disappointing turn. It doesn’t feel like a battle, Jason often backs down to preserve his credibility as a moderator. Sacks is allowed to strawman every position that isn’t his own. I value hearing both sides but it shouldn’t be political diatribes.

Agree! Used to look forward to it each week but lately it just feels like I’m watching a twitter all hands with lots of grandstanding.
