The Fed Gov funds less than 15% of RI’s schools - but the unfunded mandates tied to Fed money cost local property tax payers far more than we get.Urban districts get the most federal dollars yet have the worst-performing schools. More Fed funding = more red tape = worse outcomes.
Without federal funding, public education in Rhode Island would be crippled. Donald Trump and Elon Musk don’t have to worry about what cuts to education would mean for their kids. So they are trying to take money from yours in other to pay for another billionaires’ tax cut.

Our nation's federal employees are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They make sure we have clean water. They protect us from financial fraud. They provide healthcare to our communities. They make our government actually work for people. Do not forget this.
