It’s come to our attention there has been an increasing number of drivers using GPS to find their way around the I-80 closures. Closures are in place for your safety — backroads are not any safer, as evidenced by the spin outs and crashes that have already occurred today.

Who is "they"? What's the source? Because the first part of the first sentence is also not accurate.
It's happening again... They also neglected to mention that AB 1909 eliminates cities' ability to require bike registrations, & it allows bike riders to cross intersections w a walk signal (like at a pedestrian scramble or leading pedestrian interval, ahead of a green).
