It's "literally" impossible to do recursion with a JMP instruction. That's just called a loop. Recursion requires an input and an output, and you're going to need a stack and to be pushing data onto it and adjusting that stack pointer, and so on.

I've come to the difficult decision to walk away from FP. My next role, if I'm very fortunate, will be Rust. But the market seems to still be an employers one, and Rusts's supply/demand ratio is still very skewed towards people who went all-in on it ten years ago. Which I did
