Even if it’s the fault of the player I still believe it should count as completing the level. They did all of the difficulty of the level and their run is identical in skill and difficulty than an actual completion. To not count these as completed on a technicality is cruel

it has a good checkpoint, about half of the difficulty is either side of the checkpoint and if you find it too hard to do both sides in one go then it is unironically an issue of not being good enough - which is exactly how it works for stuff like extremes too
