The disguised Damsel's self-proclaimed 'job' is to clean up after MX's rampages, a general reason why you'd barely see her. In reality, this excuse is to hoard the decapitated heads of Toads, intending to turn them into super mushrooms as a plan to try and defeat him.

Nerding out about Mario '85 Redux, I really love MX's introduction in the game. The animation and the movement of the mouth with the talking adds to the idea of some sort of demon in the game, as the animation is fluid to the point it looks like it doesn't belong there.
