We choose to go fast - not because it's easy, but because it's needed. Our mission is to unleash American air power - one rapidly developed aircraft at a time. Fast planes fast.

The sound barrier was once thought to be a destructive wall no aircraft could cross and survive. The Bell X-1 challenged that. On Oct. 14, 1947, Chuck Yeager broke the barrier and changed aviation forever. Honoring the legacy. Building the future. We are Hermeus.

“Back in the saddle” to first flight in 6 days. That doesn’t happen without a test team built for speed. Test, analyze, integrate, repeat — this is how America gets fast airplanes fast.

Congrats to our whole team @hermeuscorp flying Mk 1! I’m hugely grateful - y’all poured your hearts into this airplane, you drove through another crucible of iterative development, and showed yourselves what’s possible. Now the bar rises. The next step is always the hardest.

Why did we design an entire aircraft (Quarterhorse Mk 1) around ~merely~ takeoff and landing at @hermeuscorp? . When your aspect ratio is low (i.e. these super stubby wings which we'll need at high speed) many things get MUCH harder for takeoff and landing, especially for a
