This is Paul’s wife, Leanne. Paul passed away yesterday. It was entirely unexpected but peaceful, in his sleep. We will miss him horribly.

We’ve been in lockdown for fifty days now and getting our daily exercize has meant that for the first time, the boy has managed to run 5km without walking. Very proud of him hitting this milestone, and with today’s brilliant Whitley Weather, he enjoyed celebrating at the end!

In case you hadn't heard. Our household waste recycling centre, that's the tip, opens tomorrow from 3pm. If it is absolutely, positively, essential that you visit the site, you can only do so with a permit and an appointment.

A total contrast of weather today that proves my saying that the coast is somewhere where whatever the previous days weather was, it can always be 10degrees. good for the average speed though because it was too grim to really stop! Loved the little farm at Shiremoor!

Out for permitted exercise with Martha this morning - headed along to Souter Park and Churchill playing fields. Had a very quick chat with a distanced police whilst catching our breath. Lovely weather for impromptu frisbee game with gold dog handbag!

Slightly different route today: the paths south of the Murton road are still open to take you through to New York, then down through Chirton, past a gated Camp Terrace, to the Boating Lake, Simpson Street and home!

I’ve really been enjoying the mandalorian, mainly because of its classic 1970s atmosphere. Apart from the classic films IV-VI I’ve not seen any other Star Wars, except half of the phantom menace when I gave up exasperated. So any advice on where to get back into the material?.

This is a brilliant idea!.
Difficult to imagine cafes and bars re-opening on Front Street while social distancing rules apply. Perhaps they should convert Front Street into a pedestrian zone with tables just for the summer #nocars
