We do not give too much attention to individual awards , but I do want to take a minute to recognize these two brothers on a temendous career. They will be solely missed, not just for their leadership and athletic abilities but most importantly how they represented our program.

This is horrible. The high school experience is about so much more then just the school day. Sports, clubs, activities, these things provide lessons that cannot be learned in classrooms. For many students sports provide the discipline and stability to succeed.

A truly inspiring story. Power had a lot stacked against him but never quit and never allowed it to make him anything but a genuinely nice person. Not only did we have the pleasure to coach him, but he is now on our staff impacting the lives of current Hawks.
It’s a big weekend for Power Kanga
From fleeing Liberia as a 7 year old to using football to get to where he is today. Kanga will graduate from URI on Sunday and held his Commissioning Ceremony today. He is now a 2nd LT in the Army reserves

That’s actually not true. Both teams shook hands when the game was over and LaSalle was totally appropriate during the award ceremony, coaches did regain control. I’ve been in a lot of Super Bowls and to say that was the first time games have ever gotten intense is, misleading.
That's disappointing. Would think coaches would have better control over their players. And running time in a state championship game? Wow.
