how do i explain what twin peaks (s3) is about to someone when within 10 minutes a dude entered a room, found a girl with no eyes, the screen glitched, they ended up on a cube in space, someone died electrified then a bald dude face appeared in the stars and whispered ‘blue rose’.

one of the things i love most in fire walk with me are the scenes within the household between laura, her mom and leland. the burden of generational trauma. home is unsafe. the mothers knows but doesn’t want to see. etc etc.

ik lynch left in the middle of twin peaks s2 which explains why it’s so off but i think it could have been great if it fully focused on exploring how the laura palmer case affects the small town. what of the mom? donna? idgaf about james running after a married older woman lol.

i think the meaning of ‘adaptation’ has been lost upon us bc why do people need every adaptation to be 100% faithful to its source material. what’s the point? what part of creativity’s left there? aren’t yall bored? i am lol.
