Y’all I’m reading these physical editions of everything @hecatemag has put out there and it is all STUNNING! The kind of writing that inspires me want to run to laptop and start writing immediately. Truly incredibly work and it looks great! (My inner graphic designer is in awe)

Dearest readers and contributors, After much deliberation, due to a combination of unforeseen circumstances and more calculated assessments, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the disbandment of Hecate Magazine.

It might seem a somewhat whimsical notion, but we don't believe it is by accident that the two anthologies we produced were called BIRTH and DECAY. Perhaps there was some prophetic message in that.

The running of an international literary magazine has been an immensely rewarding experience for all those who sit on the editorial team. We've been privileged enough to cast eyes over some exceptional talent, and for that, we will always feel humbled and grateful.

We know that this may come as a shock or, at the very least, a surprise to many of you, given that we were preparing for our DEVOTION issue. We will be contacting both existing and slated contributors independently to discuss the future of their work.

An excerpt from our 'Transitions' issue: from @tahliamckinnon's piece 'Origami'! Tahlia is an esoteric storyteller & the EIC of @hecatemag. The most common themes in her prose are sex, death & survival in a sacrilegious setting. Get Issue04 here: https://t.co/HsV9Wyiqgk
