amp by @Sourcegraph is special:. understands the codebase (!). has a feel for when to go for a surgical edit vs larger rework. gets the best out of sonnet 3.7, all the upsides (breadth & depth), fewer of the downsides (running in "loops"). threads & leaderboard are interesting

After months of using and loving Cursor, I've started experimenting with @Sourcegraph Amp and am *loving* it. It does all of the things I love about Cursor while adding:. -context management (genius!).- the best LLM codegen I've ever seen. Run, don't walk!

had some time off before I joined Sourcegraph and I was using Claude Code HEAVILY during that week. Claude Code is an amazing tool π€―. BUT, one thing that @AmpCode offers that Anthropic likely never will is the ability to use models from other labs, which makes a big difference.
