As we close out the day and #OpenEd20, my heart is so full of hope. I am grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with the community and meet newcomers. Here's to next year!

The Problem With “Privacy”—this is very much aligned with the little talk I gave at #OpenEd20 last week.

Great title + important issues. “Oh wE aRe in the Dark!” includes the benefits of using #OER in reducing textbook costs, while identifying ways to ensure access with limited connectivity, technical skills, and equipment. @WWStiernLibrary #OpenEd20 https://t.co/QqDCMZgcgm

This is going to sound naive as hell, but I didn't realize that all #OpenEd20 presentations would be recorded & licensed CC BY. If you attended #WOCinOER, I was prob noticeably flustered bc I was going to say re: Twitter to respect anonymity of participants' and their stories...

So much enjoyed being able to pop into sessions at #OpenEd20 even though this year it's from home & not a conference center/hotel. Just ended with @billymeinke's "Open at the edges or the edges of open" Highly recommended!

Many thanks to @billymeinke who paired incisive questions and scholarly critiques with the most beautiful, serene footage in his lightning talk, Open at the Edges, or the Edges of Open: Futures in Scholarly Collaboration at OpenEd20 https://t.co/KHZ5fe33ge #OpenEd20

Thank you and bravo to the organizers of #OpenEd20, @HeyOpenEd. Bringing people together to learn, share, and connect during this time is so hard and so important. High five and thank you.

When that one conference attendee who manages to sit in front of you just so is apparently still a thing in #virtual. #OpenEd20

Proud to be part of @HeyOpenEd’s #OpenED20 virtual conference! GMMB staffers Kelsey Howe & @garthmoore led an interactive session on leveraging digital to tell stories on using open educational resources (#OER) to help engage students in #K12 thru #HigherEd.

I have a lightning talk on creating OER ancillary materials: https://t.co/imZHBVtjAS The talk includes links to my astronomy lecture content that is openly licensed and the slides of the conference talk itself (also open to share/edit for your own talks in future!) #OpenEd20

Last community call for #OpenEd20 and one of the Q's was about resolutions for 2021. I want to: 1. Share my work with open licenses 2. Practice digital accessibility 3. Center EDI in collaborative settings I'm starting small. But I hope this will help normalize #openscholarship
