Surprised how forthcoming Jump was about their internal storage architecture. This is definitely purpose-built. We do something similar with CVMFS at NERSC, but much smaller scale. Clever approach to federated hybrid cloud storage too.

In between doing the real work, also tested @ComputeCanada great CVMFS software stack. In just a few minutes, full access to a massive stack of HPC software on an Ubuntu VM. Really impressive stuff
