I have been doing a lot of consulting for a large customer which has taken away most of my time to work on WarpSQL, but I am still working on it, it is making progress, and a new version will be out with an initial version of parallel query when it is ready. #mysql #warpsql

#WarpSQL update - I had to make some changes to the WARP parallel query rewrite plugin to update to MySQL 8.0.22 - I am still debugging problems with parallel query plugin after the update to 8.0.22. I'll work on it more later this week.

Making good progress on WarpSQL parallel query. I have some test code in a postparse rewrite plugin, and I have 'async' (part of swanhart-tools) set up for parallel workers, and it works without modification on MySQL 8.0. #MySQL #WarpSQL

I like to fix bugs when I find them, but I also want to get beta 2 out the door, and I think that this one is rare enough to push to beta 3 even though it is a wrong result bug. https://t.co/gB5UqcmrKh #MySQL #WarpSQL

@upsfeup I am working on an analytics oriented "fork" of MySQL called WarpSQL. WarpSQL includes the WARP (write-aligned hybrid partitioned) storage engine, a columnar engine with automatic bitmap indexing and star schema optimization. https://t.co/AD7FFflAjc

Next blog post are SSB SF1 and SF10 results of WARP vs InnoDB vs (maybe) RocksDB. I never have much luck with RocksDB. #MySQL #WarpSQL #MariaDB

WARP + Shard-Query is 72x faster than InnoDB. That is just the proof of concept for the parallel query in WarpSQL which is what I am working on now (and bug fixes). Pretty pretty cool.
