Added some more details to the statue, made a trimsheet, made a couple of tileable textures and sculpted and textured the broken shield, which def need another pass. Tomorrow I’ll probably replace the placeholder hanging vines I made 🙏 I also need to “break the glass ceiling” 🤭
I’m sooo happy with the pillar I made 😆 We’re getting somewhere, and it’s on the right track again 🙏

Nothing makes me happier than when a simple tileable texture just works. I am feeling sometimes people overcomplicate pipeline and tile texture on top of a clean shape can deliver very effective result and fast. A couple more days and this wooden gate door should be done!

Sure thing. I baked the rope down to the reel, leaving a few detail loops. The rope that connects the anchor to the reel is separate and blends in with the reel rope texture. This lets me map it to the bottom of the UVs, make it tileable, and apply a scrolling offset to just that

Apply the pattern in painter to a surface that has varying degrees of curve to it, ideally the SubD model that's been unwrapped so it's nice & smooth, that way you'll avoid any sharp edges. Here you can see the effect with a tileable plywood texture did during making the sks.

@DogeDoodles @nonieengel You simply don't get it, I'm trying to create an animated TEXTURE. Seamlessly tileable, so it can be applied to REALTIME 3D environments. You have NO BLOODY IDEA of what I'm taking about because you are simply not a 3D artist. What you are doing is completely USELESS.
