This is funny because at least 50% of college for teachers is talking about how we must respect every culture and respect diversity. When kids are from other cultures or speak other languages, those are “assets” that must be appreciated.
I think the overarching idea that we have to respect the culture of our immigrants is a huge mistake that must be rectified. We must no longer respect the culture of our immigrants. They must respect OUR culture, or we send them back home. Now I'm not saying they can't

Fun thread to see people get exasperated by a random post. “Not true! I’ve read all these other books! Let me list them!” Actually, it’s pretty good way to get engagement.
The only books that anyone on X has read is Blood Meridian, Starship Troopers, Dune and Lord of the Rings. And the latter three, people just watched the movies.

This is an awful idea. I get cherishing your time with them, but kids need time to themselves and so do parents.
My super strong parenting opinion is that while the kids are awake, you come last. No spending all of Saturday golfing. That’s family time. 6 am tee time only, maybe. Wanna go to the gym? Go after the kids go to bed, or wake up at 5. In a few short years, they’ll be out of

School is where a lot of kids learn that they can get away with almost anything in life. I had a student bring a razor blade into school and he only got one day suspension for it. School helps turnthese kids into criminals by giving them no consequences.
Schools can’t continue to operate on the customer service model unless we realize that much of the behavior teachers see in the classroom day to day would get someone kicked out of any respectable establishment. Everywhere you go, there are rules. Lack of enforcement in any
