Explaining to this fraud @BjornLomborg how with n = 26 it is IMPOSSIBLE to not get s spurious slope . First table is purely random points (n = 26), where I show that you can ALWAYS fit a line with a decent slope. The second is the distribution of R^2.

In today's episode of programming horror... In the Python docs of random.seed() def, we're told "If a is an int, it is used directly." [1] But if you seed with 3 or -3, you actually get the exact same rng object, producing the same streams. (TIL). In nanochat I was using the

Very interesting regarding the negative seed number! As for different seeds generating potentially same values: I tried for seed of range 1 million; each generated something unique, though closest were these two values: 0.27971057030432744 (196258) 0.27971057030436375 (680232)

A reset button for rotation could change how we control them all. Is it possible to cancel out a complicated spin without painstakingly reversing every single move? Surprisingly, the answer is yes. Mathematicians Jean-Pierre Eckmann (University of Geneva) and Tsvi Tlusty

My teammate ran this experiment in our agent to verify the behavior. ๏ผš๏ผ‰ Note: in the Interactive Demo part, it doesn't use Mersenne Twister, it uses a simplified linear congruential generator (LCG) to illustrate seed behavior. https://t.co/Wr8h0Rh7Ju

Sampling can be done in many different ways, and choosing the right sampling method is very important for ensuring accurate and reliable results. Stratified sampling is one such method that ensures specific subgroups within a population are adequately represented in a data set.
