@_arohan_ I checked two dropout variants (in blue: weight dropout on the BN params, adapted from https://t.co/3mXw4TR083; in purple: spatial dropout after BN layers via torch.nn.Dropout2d) and both perform worse than SAM and SAM-ON.

@AlexanderVeysov Attention is slow, b/c it depends on the sequence length. Of course, if you have an end-to-end CUDA kernel, it's gonna be somewhat faster, but I am not sure that this kind of thing is gonna be super slow
