Push it. It’s Friday. We don’t fear deployments—we design systems that thrive under pressure. At Flat 18, Friday pushes are just part of the rhythm. Build bold. Ship fearless. #PushToProd #BuiltByFlat18 #DevLife #NoFearFriday #MVPReady #StartupDev #CryptoBuilders

I used to create these same data visualizations as a BA on a software dev team. This man commits so many crimes we need a whole new epic in JIRA for each indictment & daily scrum standups just to chart them. How many story points did each crime get? #pushtoprod

@sama there seems to be this unspoken algorithm at place usually: .const bigFour = ["ANTHROPIC", "X_AI", "OPENAI", "GOOGLE"];.if (. bigFour.some(c => . getLastMajorRelease(c).date.isWithinLastWeek(). ).) {. incrementModelNr();. pushToProd();.}. so kinda glad you are breaking.

🤯 Me: Fascinating. It’s amazing the things we’ll do to avoid distributed locks, or coordination in general.

2. Another option mentioned by @pushtoprod is investment directly from customers. So they pay for features that they want you to implement. I sometimes get requests for very specialised features tailored for a particular company, but I can't always prioritise this (4/5).

In the meantime, instead of automating this flow, I wanted to do things the old-fashioned way:. 🦾 roll up our sleeves.🏛️ SSH into a box.💥 and run a script. So that’s what we did, and it worked beautifully. I talk more about it here:.

🧠 The next time you find yourself with a script that requires a significant increase in throughput, ignore the nerds telling you to rewrite it in a “more performant” language and give non-blocking IO a shot. full story:.

And, sometimes they’re not necessary. With no data or strong opinions, the default choice is to do nothing. But in my experience, picking a target and pursuing it leads to a much better result. More details in the post:.
