Our Promise Academy and Zone scholars stole the spotlight with their spoken word and dance performances at this year’s #PowerofPlace convening in Miami hosted by @WJWInstitute! Their words, talent, and passion are a reminder that our young people are always worth fighting for.

We co-hosted the first convening of the ENOUGH Learning Community with @goc_md, bringing together all 27 ENOUGH grantee communities. Nearly 200 leaders heard from #GeoffreyCanada & @govwesmoore and spent the day networking, sharing experiences, and problem solving. #PowerofPlace

We ramped up our national and global impact in 2023! Our @WJWInstitue team hosted our 2nd annual #PowerofPlace convening, bringing hundreds of place-based leaders together, and worked with over 20 cities to scale HCZ’s impact. Here’s to a successful & happy New Year!

Last night at #PowerOfPlace, we honored Dreama Gentry of @partnersrural with our Founding Trailblazer Award. For over 25 years, Dreama has pioneered a place-based cradle-to-career approach for improving outcomes for rural students and communities all over the country.

Without the will for change, evoking caring for each other, rekindling our spiritual connection to nature, no amount of engineering, technology, systems change or policy can bring about the transformation of our places to life-enhancing, regenerative spaces. #PowerofPlace
