And the indexing problems boils down to the fact that #Magento 2 quotes the entity_ids. MariaDB 10.3.18 does not like that CC @benmarks.

@MySQLTuning Thanks for your offer. The question I am asking myself is, if it is more a bug / regression in mariadb 10.3. As the version is not supported by Magento 2.3 we might better downgrade. but maybe run I to the problem later, when 10.2 becomes EOL.
