I think about the #ladderOfInference a lot. A. LOT. It helps remind me that I can't control the conclusions other jump to, just myself. When I hear "they think..." I know it's wrong, unless questions have confirmed it. Understanding others is almost as hard as yourself.

I’m posting this again as today I jumped not quite to the top but nearly and I was once again wrong but at least I hadn’t acted. I’ve learned to pause even when I’m seething. Peter #Senge #ladderofinference

I love how the #ladderofinference helps students fully express their thinking in Math! It may take a longer time to complete, but the results are so very rich and help address the gaps! @NorsemanTweet @RotmanIThink #math #computation #partyprep

7-2 dove into some experiments today to further explore mixtures! Thanks @LesleyKA for the awesome resource 😁 We even used the #LadderOfInference to investigate our results further. @RotmanIThink @DesmondHDSB @vanderwalc @EtmanskiD

After watching the film “Screenagers”, Ss in Rm 306 had many #opinions and #questions around the information provided. We reviewed our school’s phone policy and discussed how a device affects school life which then lead to our #LadderOfInference on #multitasking. @RotmanIThink

What assumptions am I making? Good reminder. Everyone makes assumptions. We select information to create realities & beliefs. That leads to assumptions & conclusions. The beliefs formed always direct our actions. #ladderofinference

Having some great discussions about Don Cherry's "you people" rant. Between the story, and two opposing opinions, we ask: "Is the CBC justified in firing Don Cherry? Why?" LOI helps us create convincing responses! @NorsemanTweet @RotmanIThink #stance #ladderofinference @CBC
