This book by @GeorgeAthas will probably be the standard volume on the ‘intertestamental’ period of ‘silence’ for the next 20 years, partly because it shows why we shouldn’t think of this period as 'intertestamental' or 'silent'. Bridging the Testaments. Highly recommended!

Adela Yarbro Collins’ Hermeneia commentary on Mark is EXCELLENT. It’s been one of my favorite commentaries for nearly a decade. She has a great treatment of messianic pretenders and “robbers” in the intertestamental period. Rich Holy Week material.

@Sola_Requiem I'm talking about the spiritual truth of what the Old Testament means in relationship to God. There has long been a universal Christian recognition that Israel represents mankind and this does not end in the intertestamental period, regardless of how you feel about covenant. This

Kicking off Semester 2 at Seminary with an intensive on the Gospels and Acts! What a course! We looked at background, themes, settings and contexts. We looked at textual criticism, we looked at the intertestamental period and lots of Biblical Theology. @WSeminaryUK @GPTSeminary

The space between the books of Malachi & Matthew in the Bible represents a period known as the "Intertestamental Period," which lasted approximately 400 years. The question What happened during this period? Why d silence? Does it mean God wasn't talking to man during that time?

Are we Christians? Yes or no? If we confess Jesus, this primarily means that for us, His teaching/philosophy holds the highest authority among all other theological perspectives – and not the views of classical Judaism, intertestamental or rabbinic Judaism, pre-Judaic religions,

@Notwokenow Legacy Standard Bible is the best. It is an update on the NASB95 in the lineage of the KJV1611. For study Bibles: ESV Study Bible or LSB MacArthur Study Bible I wouldn’t get any CE edition. If you want to read uninspired writings from the intertestamental period, many places

Are you attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan? And if you really want to know, there are angelic languages. intertestamental texts such as the testament of Job (among others) mention that one of Job's daughters spoke them. So yes, Paul refers to them in Corinthians.

For the ignorant; The gift of “Speaking in tongues” was when the apostles preached and everyone understood in their own languages. NOT this babbling incoherently in “angel tongues” which is mocking the gift and more like demonic possession! It’s a disgrace!
