As we reached the completion of the #HumanGenomeProject in 2003, we thought we'd come close to cracking the code of human health. However, we quickly learned that other biological factors, like our #epigenome, play a crucial role. As former Yale professor Morgan Levine explains,

Happy 20th birthday to #HumanGenomeProject! 🧬🥳 One of the most significant and ambitious scientific undertakings of our lives! It took scientists 13 years to map and sequence the entire human #DNA. The project ended on April 14 2003 but by that time they only had 92%.

#HumanGenomeProject
