GSGSSI has undertaken a detailed site survey and review of HPAI reports from Fortuna Bay. The survey showed no above baseline mortality or evidence of HPAI infection at the site. Fortuna will move from a Level 2 to a Level 1 site and is re-opened for visits under caution.

The #EnduranceFilm on the discovery of Shackleton’s Endurance premiered over the weekend. Our very GSGSSI own team member, Bob Pratt, attended the premiere. 🎬🎥 After filming, the team visited South Georgia to pay respects to Shackleton at his grave in Grytviken. #SGSSI

Detection dogs were used ensure SG was rid of rats & are still vital as part of a biosecurity programme by #GSGSSI to ensure no invasives are introducied. #SGHT helps fund this programme. A donation now via #GreenMatchFund will have 2X impact. https://t.co/Tk7wfalm66 @BigGive
